Tips for a smoother trip
Lençóis Maranhenses is remote — that's the point. Flights to São Luís take about 3–4 hours from Rio or São Paulo. Coming from abroad, consider bookending your trip with time in one of those cities.
The ride from São Luís to Atins takes ~5 hours by van and speedboat. Long, yes — but the boat leg is a beautiful first glimpse of the landscape.
Wi-Fi is solid at both homes, but there's little to no signal inside the park. Expect to go offline during excursions.
The lagoons are fullest June–September. Off-season means more sand, fewer pools — and far fewer crowds.
